I know that your wedding is so personal to you and you have a vision that you are trying to bring to life. You need to feel comfortable with the people you are working with to bring that vision out and make it a reality. I will always let you get to know my authentic self so you know the person on the end of the phone and the end of the emails. I am an open book, if you have any questions that I haven't already answered I am always happy to chat more and if you are local to me I am always happy to meet in person so you can really get to know the person you are investing in.
First things first I will invite you to have a phone call with me, during which I will be making notes and asking questions so I can learn exactly what will make your wedding day as perfect for you as possible. After we have officially booked you into my diary I am available to you via whatsapp, email, social media etc if you have anything you want to ask or share with me.
4-6 weeks ahead of your wedding day I will schedule another call with you to confirm all of the finer details, check in with any changes that have been made and generally just dot my i's and cross my t's to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Today is the day!
The long awaited day is finally here! I will be at our agreed first location, be this your morning preparations or the ceremony venue, at our agreed time ready to rock and roll. I will introduce myself and find a nice spot to set my equipment down and then I will ask if you are ready for me to snap away. After that point, I will be respectfully present but out of the way as best as possible. Unless you have other ideas, my approach is fly on the wall, documentary style, candid, cute, colourful... I will be taking in all of the love and laughter through my camera. It is quite rare that I pose you in these early stages of the day.
When we get to the ceremony I am a documenter. I will be part of the wall. I am not there. OK, that is a lie, I am there and I am right in front of you. But pretend I'm not.
Portraits and Family
Before your wedding I will have sent you a suggested photo's list, this will include everyone from your nearest and dearest to your neighbours cat. I will follow your list with the help of your appointed big mouth and if you change your mind on the day and want to add 10 more photos, that is absolutely fine, it is your day!
I will then sneak the two of you away for some more romantic newlyweds photos. This is one of my favourite parts of the day and often I find my couples say the same. Finally a chance to be alone together after you have vowed to be together forever! I ask you to hug and kiss and run around and throw fabric about and chuck flowers at you... anything for the shot.
